Buying Tutorials with PayPal or Credit Card

Occassionally I'll get an e-mail from someone who wants to buy a tutorial on the site but they absolutely refuse to use PayPal. I've asked these people why they are so adament about PayPal and I've never gotten an answer. Some have posted in online forums that they don't feel it is safe and claim a bad experience they've had. Just like anything else, PayPal is safe if you buy from a legitimate vendor. Every bad experience I've seen mentioned was from a seller that was questionable at best.

There are also a few areas of the world that aren't supported by PayPal. The one that has been brought to my attention the most is South Africa. I don't know why it isn't supported and unfortunately I have no control over that.

It seems the alternative that people want is to buy directly from Unleashed using a credit card. What they don't seem to understand is that the whole process would have to be done manually. This means we have to charge a transaction fee to cover the administrative costs of processing. It also means that instead of getting the tutorial within minutes, it could take up to one full business day.

We've started to make some of the tutorials available via credit card as a test. So if you are somewhere where you can't use PayPal or you just absolutely refuse to use it, you can now buy any of Jeff Harrison's tutorials. As I mentioned, there is a transaction fee and it may take up to a full business day to receive the tutorial. If the test is successful, we'll expand this to other tutorials. As always, I'll be glad to hear your feedback.

I stopped using PayPal because I encountered a problem where I began getting error messages during transactions. Long story short: Called customer service and discovered the CC# was attached to more than one account. Seems my wife had made a separate account and used the same CC#. (How that's possible is beyond comprehension, but that's what they said. To fix the problem, my wife asked them to cancel her account. Three times we've called and been told the acccount was canceled. And still the account hasn't been properly canceled and we can't use either account. So we just gave up.

You do not need to use PayPAl exclusivly. You do not need to do it manually either. There are other means such as Digital River to collect payments and instantly transmit materials.
There has been a number of tutorials that I wished to have but the Pay Pal requirements prevented this. I would buy a bundle of tutorials if offred. But, there is a growing number who will never use PayPal out of protest for their bizz practices.

There is a LARGE bundle of tutorials I would've bought such as the recent metal series. The PayPal demand prevented it as does the new service charges and wait time.
Simply, many do not trust PayPal because they are brokers and do not the carry credit card protections. The request for alternatives is real and will not change no matter how much positive spin you add.
I submit that Pay Pal cost you more than you will ever know. A watch on a major auction board will show pay pal auctions consistantly get less than those that allow money orders. Summary,, make other payment options available and forget the service charges.

I also stopped using paypal their so called guarantee wasn't worth much, I followed their instructions, returned an item by insured mail (it had to be signed for) and as I didn't realise the item could not be tracked by the number (it was for insurance only)Paypal closed the case and TOUGH.
so now I use greenzap, and they gave me $25 for signing up (free) so have included the website for anyone to sign up for greenzap and $25 for free.

I actualy signed up for gold cost me $100 but they gave me $100 back as webcash, but now I pay $1 per transaction instead of two.
cheers Keith
