Western Digital Caviar Black 2 TB
For my computer, I selected the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1.5 TB 32 MB Cache drive and it has served me very well. Even better, that drive is now selling for under $100. That is an amazing value for a fast drive with a huge capacity. If I were buying again today, I'd give the Western Digital Caviar Black 2 TB a long look. It does cost twice as much and only adds another 500 GB. It doubles the size of the cache which can improve the performance. At this point I don't think I need the extra capacity so I'd still go with the Seagate Barracuda drive because of the amazing price. Whichever drive you choose, I don't think you can go wrong.

Sorry Foster but I will never consider another WD hard drive. Their customer support is pathetic at best.
I can't say that I've had any good experiences with Western Digital's customer service and/or technical support. Unfortunately I can say the same thing about numerous other technology companies. I believe my last interaction with WD was about two years ago. Should I have to deal with them in the future, I can only cross my fingers and hope that they have addressed the problems.
