Speed Up Your Computer With OCZ Vertex 2 SSD Drives
It is doubtful that you will want to keep all of your data on an SSD drive. It is just too expensive for most users to have that much high speed storage. Your best bet is to install your operating system and only your operating system on the SSD drive. Then buy a traditional drive for installing applications and storing your working data.
As with all computer parts, there are constantly better products being released. The Patriot Torqx drive was one of the best for a long time and it is still a good choice. Now, a new drive is out there that is even better. The OCZ Vertex 2 drive is available in different sizes from 50 GB to 480 GB with prices ranging from $189 and up. Personally I think a 50 GB drive is too small for today's operating systems. I'd recommend a minimum size of 100 GB if you will be installing Windows Vista or Windows 7. The larger drives are great if you want to also install applications on the drive, but you'll pay dearly for the larger drives. Below are links to each of the different sizes at Amazon along with the approximately prices.
