Customize a Workspace for Each Type of Job
I would guess that most users change only one or two aspects of their workspace. A small minority make major changes. What I'd suggest is that you create more than one workspace for yourself based on the type of projects you create.
Part of what I need to do is record the tutorial videos for my CorelDRAW X5 Unleashed book. I have a somewhat limited screen size when recording so I customized my screen to best take advantage of the area I have. My main workspace uses the largest icons possible and has a few extra toolbars with things I use often. Of course I also keep a copy of the default workspace supplied with CorelDRAW so that I'll know exactly what it is like for someone who has just installed CorelDRAW X5.
I don't expect that you'll have the same needs as me. Yet some of you may be working with a laser engraver part of the time and sublimation at other times. Each has unique tasks and it might make sense to have different workspaces for each output medium. That's for you to decide. Just know that you can create multiple workspaces and it is very easy to switch between them.
