Ugly Las Vegas Carpet Patterns

Today is a holiday in the United States so I thought I'd stray from the normal posts on macros to talk about some fun designs. When I was in college, I needed to carpet a room and didn't have a lot of money to spend. I got some used carpet that came from the lobby of a hotel. It was extremely durable and had quite the pattern on it. I still have a small piece of it in my garage.

Chris Maluszynski did a photo series of carpets from Las Vegas Casinos and they are much more lively than the carpet I had. I thought readers might be interested in seeing some of these wild patterns. Maybe you want to create something similar for your projects and then maybe these are good examples of what to avoid. Heck, these might be good to add for future volumes of our Textures Unleashed series.
