Graphics Unleashed Top Fan for April 2012
On April 17, I told you about the idea I had to reward a "top fan" for each month. Now that April is over, it is time to reward a fan for April 2012. Before I announce the winner, I want to tell you exactly how the winner was selected.
Since we announced the plan in mid-April, we decided to select the top fan from among those with the top ten scores (and ties) on the Graphics Unleashed Top Fans Facebook page. Points are earned by interacting with the Graphics Unleashed Facebook page. That could be liking something, posting a comment or even asking us a question. We have installed an app that automatically calculates the point totals based on interactions and you can look at the leaderboard at any time you like.
When all the calculations were done for April 2012, there were 12 fans in contention (again, the top 10 and ties). In order to select the top fan, we need to generate a random number. For that, I turned to RANDOM.ORG's Random Integer Generator. We asked it to generate 1 number between 1 and 12 as shown below.
Then I pressed the Get Numbers button and the result was 10 as shown below.
Looking at the Top Fans Leaderboard for April 2012 shows that #10 is Rocky L. Cobb. We have already contacted Rocky to let him know he is the Top Fan for April 2012 and we have awarded him $25 to spend as he chooses in the Graphics Unleashed Media Marketplace. Congratulations Rocky!
There is still plenty of time left in May 2012 to make sure you are eligible to be our next top fan. Remember, all you have to do is interact with us. That includes asking us questions! Here's hoping it is your name I congratulate next month.
