Inexpensive LED Flashlight Shows You The Light
A few weeks ago I stressed the importance of having a computer tool kit. Several of you even wrote me an e-mail telling me about the tool kit you already have and how it had saved your bacon a few times. One problem with using the tools is you are often in a tight space that doesn't get a lot of light. That's why it is very important to have a flashlight. The Neiko 9 LED light shown at right costs less than $5. It makes a perfect companion to your computer tool kit and you may even want to pick up two or three of them.

Just a note regarding the flashlight in your tool kit. Excellent idea, and I have now included one, thanks for the tip. I might suggest (unless you know you will use the flashlight frequently) - to keep a ready source of fresh batteries for this item nearby the place you keep the kit. I have a number of maintenance tools that require batteries ......and recently went to use one of the voltmeters to check a circuit.....bad scene. As I use the meter rarely (but necessary when needed) - the batteries were old and had corroded the interior of the meter. It will need to be replaced. I spent the next 40 minutes checking all the various tools that require batteries - I was lucky, the meter was the only one damaged. Until I can determine a way to be sure this doesn't happen again, I have removed all the batteries, put them in old pill bottles....storing them with the tool, but not in it. Just a thought, if you have lots of battery run tools, accessories.
