Evernote Stores Notes In One Place, Syncs Everywhere

I'm constantly doing research for future writings. Admittedly, my notes aren't very well organized and that can sometimes slow me down when I'm trying to put everything together. After seeing a lot of suggestions for Evernote, I'm going to use it for organizing everything.

At this point I don't have enough experience using Evernote to give you details on how to get the most from it. It is a free download and that gives you a lot. For those who are heavy users, you can pay a little bit extra to get a premium account that allows you to store more.

What can Evernote track? Anything from the clipboard, images, files and much more. You can sync the files to Windows, Mac, Andoid and iOS so the data can go most everywhere. The icon of an elephant seems very appropriate since it remembers everything for you. Download your free copy and give it a try. If you have some suggestions for how I can get more from it, please post a comment and let me know.

A friend uses this - anything and everything that he comes across he'll put in evernote. He's used it for maps, anything he finds on the internet, to-do lists, grocery lists, random thoughts, and items he wants to go back to like books to read, movies to see, shows to watch, etc. You can even save parts of a website, I believe. I have not used it yet - but have heard about it.

Using CorelDraw 6. Am new to Evernote & was crazy about it (it replaces all my little attempts to keep all this stuff organized in Word and Corel)until I just attempted to copy and paste from Evernote to a Corel document. Did not show that there was anything to paste. I could copy and paste the graphic into Word and save the file but when I attempted to copy from Word and then to Core nothing there. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you mean CorelDRAW X6? CorelDRAW 6 was released in 1995 so doubtful it would run well on newer computers. Have you tried Paste Special in CorelDRAW?

Sorry Foster, that would be X6.

Special paste does not work either - when you copy in Evernote and then try and paste the paste option is whited out - just not there, yet I can go to MS Word and paste?

Jojo, you haven't specified what you are storing and then trying to paste from Evernote. I tried some plain text and both Paste and Paste Special (it is not Special Paste) are available to me in CorelDRAW X6.

That just tells me that storing graphics in Evernote is not a good idea. Certainly my expectations were to only store text in it. Maybe use Evernote to store the file name/location on your system instead. Then you can simply import the graphic from that location when needed.

Found a work around - export the graphic to desktop with .html file extension and then you can import to X6. May not be the best but I will still use Evernote for this as will as text. Thanks.
